Kids can be so tricky to care for when it comes to meal time. I mean, how many days can they really eat chicken nuggets?

I wanted to share some of our go to meal ideas with you to help you in the never ending battle to please our littles. And trust me, having six of them, I know all too well the exhaustion of trying to figure out what I am going to serve at meal time.

Honestly, I love to cook. I love being in the kitchen, in my own head space, getting in the zone and making something delicious out of nothing. But when it comes to serving the kids lunches or simple dinners, I always feel at such a loss. If it’s not chicken nuggets, it’s buttered noodles in this house and that gets old fast.

As a mom, I know you don’t have much time to read so I will just get into it. But first, I want to remind you that these are very simple ideas, some not so balanced as others, but they work. The last thing a busy and exhausted mom needs is to worry about how healthy every single meal is. Sometimes you just need to throw the goldfish at the kids and walk away!

That’s all I have for now. These are honestly a lot of my go to meals for the kids, some much healthier than others. My favorite is to just do breakfast for dinner. Kids love pancakes and you can make them fun by adding sprinkles, chocolate chips, or my kids favorite, crushed Oreos in the mix. Thanks Mr. George!

But remember, fed is always best. There is nothing worse that having a screaming, hangry toddler. Just feed them the goldfish.

Until next time,
