7 Ingredient Homemade Taco Seasoning
Making your own taco seasoning is not complicated and it really only takes about 5 minutes and 7 ingredients. I will say, if you are used to the premade packets, this will not taste exactly alike because, well, it doesn’t have the artificial flavors in it. However, you do have a healthy option for taco nights now!
Homemade Taco Seasoning Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Cumin
- 1/2 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Directions:
To make the seasoning, simply add all to a small dish, stir and add it to your recipe. OR you can double or triple the recipe and keep it in an airtight container. I like to keep mine in a half pint mason jar, as pictured or these spice jars work great as well!
If you want to add a thickener, you can add a teaspoon of flour to the mix.
