How To Affordably Replace All Your Household Products With Nontoxic, American Made Products

If you know me, you know I love using natural products anywhere I can. Whether in our food, cleaning, or personal products, ingredients that are as close to nature as possible is where my heart lies.

Homemade cleaners such as vinegar with essential oils to mop floors, or baking soda to scrub the kitchen sink are my jam! However, my husband is on the very opposite end of that debate and thinks bleach is the only way to clean.

In my attempt to compromise, I found this amazing American company that took ingredients that are safe and natural and turned them into products that clean as well if not better than national brands. I have no other word than obsessed when it comes to these cleaning products.

Today I am sharing how I replaced all my household cleaning products with safe, American made products that won’t break the bank.

The Wellness Company

If you are on Instagram you may have seen this thing called The Wellness Box. If so, you’ve seen all these mamas choosing to replace their harsh, chemical filled household products with safe AND American made products for the same price as the national brands – I had to check this out for myself, here’s what I learned.

The company is called Melaleuca – The Wellness Company and for good reasons too.

Melaleuca is an American, debt-free company that was founded in 1985 and is still going strong today. They do not do traditional advertising or sell their products at big box stores. This is all word of mouth and by referral only. The best part, other than their safe and affordable products, is they give back by allowing you to create an income when referring others.

Being on a debt free journey myself, seeing a company that was created without going into debt and wants to help their customers out of debt really makes me love this company even more.

Here’s What They Offer

Melaleuca is often referred to as being an online store with a mix between Costco and Whole Foods.

They have products like household cleaners, laundry detergent, essential oils, make up, baby products, vitamins and supplements, coffee, snacks – they literally have everything.

But instead of getting products filled with toxic chemicals, fragrances, bleach, parabens, etc. you are receiving products that are naturally derived from things like citric acid found in oranges and lemons. Scented with essential oils instead of chemically made fragrances. Even the makeup is of EU standards instead of what the US allows.

To Get An Idea…

What really turned me on to this company when looking to replace my cleaners was the price.

I’ve shared before that we love shopping at salvage stores for products because of how inexpensive they are. I don’t usually like buying products from anywhere other than on clearance but Melaleuca matched these prices by how much you actually get.

Because these cleaners are so concentrated, one small bottle of cleaner can make a total of SIX spray bottles. You can’t do that with a Clorox spray bottle.

For example: You can buy one bottle of Clorox all purpose cleaner for close to $4 or you can get Tough & Tender concentrate (all purpose cleaner) and turn it into 6 bottles for only $6 with a membership. Incredible!
