I have been on a kick of trying new dishes and getting out of the same old tired recipes I’ve been making for years. Last night I threw together this super simple chicken, bacon, and broccoli alfredo in minutes.
Let me tell you, for how simple it was it was so delicious and the kids ate it right up!

The Sauce
I don’t usually buy alfredo sauce as we aren’t really a “sauce” kind of family. The most was use is spaghetti sauce and even that is slim because the kids prefer buttered noodle with parmesan cheese over the sauce.
Anyway, I wanted to try something different and we love Raos Spaghetti sauce so I thought I would give their alfredo sauce a try.
If you are doing keto, low carb, or just trying to find a cleaner brand, Raos is perfect for that. There are very minimal ingredients and there is no added sugar. Honestly, I used to use another brand for all my sauces because there was no dairy or soy for when I was breastfeeding my kids, but Raos is so much better. So clean, tastes good and not too bad on the wallet.
I used this alfredo sauce from Raos and it was delicious. It was on the thicker side but tasted almost homemade. So much better than the other alfredo sauces out there.
The Process
To start this recipe, I cooked up about 7 or 8 slices of bacon and setting it to the side.
I then cubed up some chicken breast and cooked it in some of the left over bacon grease, and seasoned it with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
While the chicken was cooking, I took a bag of frozen microwaveable broccoli and cooked it for one minute less than the directions read.
Once the chicken was cooked through and broccoli was done, I layered a pan with the broccoli on bottom and chicken over top.
Then I stirred the alfredo sauce in the jar and poured it over the top of the chicken and broccoli and topped it the crumbled bacon and shredded parmesan cheese.
I then placed it in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Just long enough to get everything heated through and bubbly.
Trying to be carb conscious, I ate this alfredo as is and it was so good and filling! However, for my family I did put this alfredo over regular ole egg noodles.
I was worried that maybe my kids wouldn’t approve because ya know, kids, but to my surprise they absolutely loved it!
Alternatives
I am known for throwing random foods together so I know there are so many alternatives to this dish.
This alfredo sauce would be great with shrimp for sure, even chicken thighs would be dreamy compared to the breast.
I’m sure that instead of broccoli – green beans, brussel sprouts, or even asparagus would be delicious with this sauce.
You can also cook all this on the stove instead of baking it. Just cook up your meat and once that is done, add the rest of the ingredients in and cook on medium low until the sauce is heated through.
